Flexling is a language learning app built around real sentences and spaced repetition, using the same algorithm as Anki. Unlike traditional apps, you can learn hands-free with Shadowing while commuting, exercising or doing chores.

It also lets you add your own content, so you learn the sentences you actually care about.

Flexling gives you three ways to learn the same sentences: Shadowing, Writing, and Radio.

With Shadowing, you listen to a sentence in your language and translate it in your head. Then you hear how it is said in the language you are learning, say it out loud, and hear it again to correct yourself. It works hands-free if you like.

With Writing, you type the sentence. Your spelling is marked letter by letter, then AI checks the meaning, and other valid wording is saved as an accepted answer. You can translate a sentence you hear in your language, or type exactly what you hear in the language you are learning, like a dictation. Radio plays your sentences and their translations one after another, for listening in the background.

If you don't understand a sentence or have a question, ask the chat, for example "How can I say this more politely?" or "Give me 3 more examples with this verb in a different tense." It writes new sentences with audio for you.

The audio is native-quality generated speech, made for every sentence.

Yes, in three ways: type them in one at a time, import many at once from a CSV, TSV or pasted spreadsheet (Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets), or ask the chat to write them.

For an import, match the columns in your file to your course languages, and Flexling generates the audio and everything else.

Fluency depends on many factors: the language, your native language, daily practice time, and learning methods.

The goal of Flexling is to give you all the tools you need to learn it as fast as possible. For instance Flexling teaches you new words in the order they appear most commonly. This way you can become fluent faster in more contexts because you learn the most frequent words first.

However, Flexling is not a full language course but rather the most efficient companion to one. If you already know the basic grammar or are currently doing a course, Flexling is likely the right app for you.
